Doug LoFranco named President and Chief Executive Officer of AIS Technologies Group

Doug will lead the AIS Technologies Group, which comprises Radix Inc. and the Active Industrial Solutions companies: Automation, Gauge & Fixture, and Specialty Machining divisions. Doug has extensive executive management experience in the industrial automation space, most recently as President of M&R Automation Canada Inc.; Vice President & General Manager of ABB Robotics Canada Inc.; VP and General Manager of Wheelabrator Group Canada.

Radix Inc. acquires Canadian Vision System Integrator +ADD (Automated Detection Devices)
(Windsor, Ontario) Radix Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of technology & talent from +ADD (Automated Detection Devices), a vision system integrator from Mississauga, Ontario. In addition to adding the outstanding technical skills, industry knowledge and creativity of Josh Capogna and the +ADD group to our Radix team, this acquisition provides Radix with a larger presence in the Toronto market as well as with key products and services for the specialized pharmaceutical, medical device & aerospace sectors.
Technologies developed by +ADD and acquired by Radix include advanced surface inspections, 3D scanning and specialized vision solutions for material handling applications. +ADD is a Cognex Partner System Integrator and Microscan Integrator, which dovetails well with Radix’s acknowledged expertise as an Automated Imaging Association Certified System Integrator status.
